Hand rankings
What it means
The order of the nine hand categories, from lowest to highest: high card, pair, two pair, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind and straight flush (a royal flush is the highest straight flush). Suits have no ranking.
Example
A flush beats any straight and a full house beats any flush, whatever cards make them. If two players have the same category, the cards break the tie.
