Backdoor draw

What it means

A draw that needs two cards in a row, turn and river, to complete; for example, having three cards of one suit on the flop between your hand and the board. When it completes that way it is called runner-runner. It adds little equity, but it helps you continue in the hand and choose bluffs.

Example

With on you have a backdoor flush draw: you need a heart on the turn and on the river, 11 / 47 × 10 / 46 = 5.1%.

Also called: Backdoor · Backdoors · Puerta trasera · Runner-runner · Backdoor de color
