Check-fold
What it means
Checking and, if your opponent bets, folding. It is the line for a hand that doesn't want to bet and can't call. Against an opponent who only bets with value it loses nothing; against one who bluffs a lot, it hands them the pot.
Example
With on a river of you have no pair: you check and, facing your opponent's bet, fold.
