Maniac
What it means
An opponent who bets and raises far more often than the baseline, with a large share of bluffs, and who rarely folds. The best response is to let them bet: check with strong hands, call wider and bluff little.
Example
On the river, the maniac bets with 130 of 152 combos that lose to you: checking and calling with top pair wins 14.21 bb, and betting, 3.55.
