Slowplay
What it means
Playing passively (checking or just calling) with a very strong hand to hide its strength and let your opponent keep betting or hit something. It works best on boards without draws and against aggressive opponents; against opponents who call a lot, raising or betting pays more.
Example
You have a set on and your opponent bets: calling instead of raising is a slowplay. The board has almost no draws, so giving another card costs little.
