Spot
What it means
A specific situation in a hand: positions, stacks, previous action, board and sizes. The same hand can be good in one spot and bad in another, which is why decisions are studied spot by spot.
Example
Calling with in the BB against a BTN open is one spot; calling with the same hand against a UTG open is another, with a stronger range in front of you.
