Tight
What it means
A style that plays few hands. It is one of the two axes for classifying opponents (tight or loose); the other is how aggressive they are (passive or aggressive). A very tight opponent who bets big usually has a strong hand.
Example
Against a very tight opponent who checks and folds almost everything worse, your bluffs work more often and your thin value bets win less.
Also called: Muy tight
