UTG+1 / UTG+2
What it means
At a 9-handed table, the seats right after UTG: UTG+1 acts second and UTG+2 third before the flop. They are early positions: many players are left to act, so you open tight ranges, only slightly wider than from UTG.
Example
At 9-max, from UTG+1 there are seven players left behind: the opening range grows only slightly compared with UTG (from 9–11% to 11–12% of hands).
Also called: UTG+1 · UTG+2 · UTG1 · UTG2
