Brick

What it means

A turn or river card that changes almost nothing: it doesn't complete draws, doesn't pair high cards and doesn't improve one range more than the other. After a brick, the advantage that existed on the flop stays the same.

Example

On K♣9♦4♠, a 2♥ on the turn is a brick: whoever had the nut advantage on the flop still has it.

Also called: brick · carta blanca · blank
