Leverage
What it means
The pressure a bet or a raise creates because it leaves your opponent facing the loss of their whole stack on the next street. A turn check-raise at medium SPR uses it: if your opponent calls, the river is set up for an all-in about the size of the pot, and calling the turn no longer costs only what it costs today.
Example
BB against BTN on K♠9♠5♣ 2♥: the BB raises the 8.5 bet to 26 bb. If the BTN calls, the pot is 64.5 bb with 68 behind: an all-in of 105.4% of the pot on the river.
