Overcall
What it means
Calling a bet or an open when another player has already called before you. The dead money improves the price, but the pot is multiway: hands that make strong holdings do well and dominated hands lose.
Example
UTG opens, the HJ calls and on the BTN you call with 7♠6♠: an overcall in position with a hand that plays well in a three-way pot.
