Preflop aggressor

What it means

The last player who raised before the flop (with the open, a 3-bet or a 4-bet). They have the initiative, they are the one who can make a c-bet, and they usually reach the flop with the stronger range.

Example

The CO opens, the BTN 3-bets and the CO calls: the preflop aggressor is the BTN, and a bet from them on the flop is a c-bet.

Also called: Agresor preflop · Último agresor · PFA
