Pure bluff
What it means
A bluff with a hand that has almost no equity if called: it wins only when your opponent folds. That is why it needs your opponent to fold at least bet ÷ (pot + bet). A semi-bluff, by contrast, can also win by improving.
Example
On the river you bet 5 bb into a 10 bb pot with no pair and no draw: that pure bluff needs 5 / 15 = 33.3% folds.
Also called: Farol puro · Faroles puros · Pure bluffs
