Single-raised pot (SRP)

What it means

A pot in which there was only one raise preflop (the open) and one or more calls. With 100 bb the SPR on the flop is high (a 2.5 bb open called by the BB: 97.5 / 5.5 = 17.7): top pair beats many hands, but against a lot of aggression it usually prefers to control the pot.

Example

The BTN opens to 2.5 bb and the BB calls: a 5.5 bb pot with 97.5 bb behind, SPR = 17.7.

Also called: Pozo simple · Pozos simples · SRP · Single raised pot · Bote simple
