String bet

What it means

Putting chips in with several motions without having announced the amount. In almost all live card rooms it isn't allowed and only the first motion counts; online it doesn't exist because the software locks in the action.

Example

You put in 3 bb, look at your opponent, and add another 6 bb to raise. If you didn't say "raise" first, the room will probably treat it as a 3 bb call. The safest thing: announce out loud.
