Fold to 3-bet

What it means

The percentage of the time a player folds their open when they face a 3-bet. It's the fold equity of your bluff 3-bet: you compare it with the folds the size needs (alpha). It depends on the opener's position, the size of the 3-bet and the opponent.

Example

The CO opens to 2.5 and you 3-bet to 7.5 from the BTN: you risk 7.5 to win 4, so a pure bluff needs 65.2% folds. If the CO folds 63.6% (assumed with the course chart and your K9s), the pure bluff loses a little and the equity you have when called rescues it.
