Buy-in
What it means
What it costs to sit down and play: in cash, the stack you bring to the table (in the courses, 100 bb); in tournaments, the entry fee. Bankroll and risk of ruin are counted in buy-ins.
Example
A bankroll of 2,000 bb is 20 buy-ins of 100 bb.
