Tournament (MTT)

What it means

A format with a fixed buy-in: everyone starts with the same chips, the blinds go up in levels, and play continues until one player has all the chips. Prizes are paid out by finishing place.

Example

You pay the buy-in and get 20,000 chips; the blinds go up every 20 minutes and from a certain level an ante is added. The chips aren't directly worth money.
