Implied odds
What it means
The chips you expect to win on later streets if you hit your hand. They let you call even when the direct pot odds aren't enough.
Example
On the turn the pot is 20 bb and your opponent bets 10 bb: you need 10/40 = 25%, but your flush draw has 19.6%. For calling to be profitable you need to win 11 bb more on the river when you hit (a total pot of 10 / 0.196 = 51).
